Who we are
We are a group of local Armadale residents who support more housing in our suburb — done the right way. We believe Armadale can grow without losing what makes it special. The State Government wants more homes in Armadale. So do we. But their one-size-fits-all, fast-tracked approach will do lasting damage to our neighbourhood.
More Homes? Yes.
This Plan? No

What the Government is doing
Under the Government’s new activity centre rulkes, developers can build apartment blocks 3 to 6 storey high across most of Armadale. Approvals will be fast-tracked, limiting your right to object, appeal, or have a meaningful say. Council will be forced to approve developments, unless subject to heritage overlay. For a more detailed guide, see Item 1 on the Resources Page.

years of extensive planning and consultation
The City of Stonnington has already developed a smarter plan. It took five years of community consultation and careful planning. It focuses growth around existing activity centres where infrastructure can support it.
